Four letters, six letters….

My daughter brought a craft project back home yesterday. I looked at the spelling of her name on it and had a good laugh. Someone spelled her name as Kierra.

We spell it Kira. Four letters. The simplicity itself.

The morale: the humankind loves to overcomplicate things. But it’s not necessary, particulary in the healthy living department… just go with what feels good and is simple for you to do. You can’t make an elaborate meal plan? Then cut out junk &processed and eat from small plates, forgetting seconds. No time or inclination to hit gyms and discuss the fine points with personal trainers? Go for a walk or swim or a bike ride, or dance in whatever space you have for whatever time you have.

Become a simplifier, because we all know that there are plenty people and things out there who’d do the job of adding complications… because we are human and love doing just that.

Nice blog! :D My actual name is spelled the simple way… people are always adding a’s and e’s… hence my “name” on here.
All good points! Healthy is simple.

I think I needed this today! lol I’m sitting here worried, literally sick to my stomach, about how I’m supposed to not only continue to lose weight, but keep myself from getting fat again when I have no clue how to work out with this freaking sore foot. (I’m pretty sure it’s plantar fasciitis, so rest required.) I just need to focus on keeping it simple. :)

Good blog. My personal credo is quite similar: be a “solver”. In other words, instead of saying, “oh, I always lose my keys.”, and accepting that as your way of life, come up with a solution such as putting them in the same spot when they are not in use or making sure hubby has his own set. This too applies to healthy living. I have seen and heard so many say, “Oh, I am too busy to cook for my family.”, and then instead of coming up with a viable, healthy solution(such as our beloved slow cooker) they bring a pizza home! I actually have a friend who, because she can’t run right now, does no exercise. If she had the “solution” mentality she would see she could easily take walks or play with her kids in the yard. We can all come up with personal solutions that work for us, eliminate unnecessary stress and control our lives instead of our lives controlling us.

Yep that is great advise, I am wonderful at making things more complicated than they actually are. I am going to work on that this week!
